Senior Account Manager

Position Overview:

The Senior Account Manager maintains and grows relationships with enterprise accounts while achieving an assigned sales revenue growth goal. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Senior Account Manager is expected to develop existing business, pursue growth opportunities in named customer accounts, and also pursue new account opportunities.
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for selling and supporting MediaVue’s complete hardware, software and service offerings to an assigned set of named accounts. Focusing on customers with high-value and strategic growth opportunity, the Senior Account Manager’s most important customer interactions are face-to-face meetings.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Develops and grows MediaVue sales revenue through proactive management of assigned enterprise customer relationships as well as pursues assigned prospective named accounts
  • Build relationships within named accounts and become a trusted partner which provides long term solutions support
  • Sells MediaVue’s complete offering of products and services, including embedded hardware, software and support/service packages
  • Leads all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution development and proposal delivery, as needed, or as directed by management
  • Develops account plans for all assigned accounts by leading a joint company/account planning process that identifies relevant account needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments, and establishes a clear action plan for success
  • Proactively manages customers’ satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring satisfaction

Accountability and Performance Measures

  • Achieves assigned sales revenue quota
  • Meets assigned revenue quota within prescribed MediaVue profitability range
  • Develops and executes account plans that meet company standards in all assigned accounts
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards

Organizational Alignment

  • Reports to the Sales Director
  • Enlists the support of sales specialists, implementation resources, service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed
  • Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution


  • 5+ years of sales experience in a business-to-business, large/strategic customer segment or a record of achievement in a Major Account Management role
  • Experience with solutions-selling over extended sales cycles
  • Proficiency with sales optimization tools
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis, both domestically and internationally
